Karen Hlinka is the Dean of the Science and Mathematics Division. In addition, she teaches BIO 137 and BIO 139, the Human Anatomy and Physiology two semester sequence with the accompanying labs.

Professor Hlinka received a B. S. in Biology from Murray State University and holds a M.S. in Physiology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Her graduate research concentrated on auditory neurophysiology. She has been a full-time faculty member of WKCTC since 1994.

Ms. Hlinka is a member of the Human Anatomy & Physiology Society, the Kentucky Academy of Sciences, and the National Wildlife Federation. On campus, she is a co-sponsor of the WKCTC Science Seminar Series, the Science Club, and the College Republicans.
